“Radical Happiness” is the title of a book by the social psychologist Lynne Segal, in which she asks for a culture of change and responsibility not based on economics alone but on our desire for a better world. I will reflect on what that means now, for us, in 2020 as we make our way through turbulent times, times that need care, attention and spirit. Where do we belong and how do find belonging? How do we promote our own happiness and our connectedness to others, so that we flourish and the community flourishes too – and where does Unitarianism sit in all of this?
